trans wont downshift when accelerator is pushed to floor but will downshift manually

If I'm not mistaken this vehicle is equipped with a downshift cable. Make sure it is properly

connected and is free of interference. Should be connected at the carburetor near the accelerator

cable. Make sure it is actuated when the accelerator is pressed. You may also want to make sure if you have a vacuum line running to the tail end of the transmission that it is free of water from your steam cleaning.
