I have a ’88 Ford Bronco II. The truck runs “okay” when first started up in the morning. After about 15 minutes of driving, the engine starts acting as if it is “choking”. The engine misses and I have to rev the engine to keep it running or it dies and I have to pop the clutch and “chug” my way home. The temperature gauge tells me it is running about 1\/4 of the way between cold and hot which is NOT normal. It normally runs midway even in the 95 degree heat here in Florida. I touch the radiator cap and it is cool. The engine sounds as if it have been overheated after I shut it off because I hear\u00a0the engine clicking after I park it as I have heard on overheated engines in the past. Could this be a water pump gone\/going bad or a stuck thermostat? The temperature gauge reading makes me wonder if it is accurate and if there is no water\u00a0circulating.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
