My 1990 Ford Ranger with a 2.9 v-6 extended cab, was not cranked for about a year. After replacing the battery and checking fluids, I got it to start up after several tries. I revved it to about 2500 rpm for a few minutes, the let it Idle and after about 5-min. it shut off. Next day I put a couple of gallons of fresh gas in and let it sit for a day. After a few tries it started up and I again revved it to about 2500 and kept it there for a minute of so, and it just died. It re-started easily enough but the same thing happened the second time. Suggestions have included new fuel and air filters, oxygen sensor, and possible water in the gas. Thanks in advance for all suggestions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
