I was told ignition switch needs to be replaced as key doesn’t start car. The starter is OK. I don’t have a lot of money (still in college). I am looking for the best cheapest way to deal with this issue. I’m desperately in need of options. Thank You!!!<\/p>\n

If you know for sure what needs to be replaced in order to repair your car, call around different shops for the cheapest price.<\/p>\n

If you have a garage full of tools and the knowledge, shop around for the cheapest price on the part you need and swap it out.<\/p>\n

Even better, if you have a friend with a box full of tools and the knowledge, buy him a pizza.<\/p>\n

Labor Time<\/h5>\n

1 hour labor on the actual electrical portion of the ignition switch.
