Disconnect the negative battery cable.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the decorative cover.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the <span class=\"search_highlight\">injector<\/span> electrical connections. Remove the fuel rail assembly.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the <span class=\"search_highlight\">injector<\/span> retaining clip. Separate the <span class=\"search_highlight\">injector<\/span> from the fuel rail.<\/li>\n<li>Remove both <span class=\"search_highlight\">injector<\/span> seals from the <span class=\"search_highlight\">injector<\/span> and discard.<b>To install:<\/b><\/li>\n<li>Prior to installing the injectors, coat the new <span class=\"search_highlight\">injector<\/span> O-ring seals with clean engine oil. Install the seals on the <span class=\"search_highlight\">injector<\/span> assembly.<\/li>\n<li>Use new <span class=\"search_highlight\">injector<\/span> retainer clips on the <span class=\"search_highlight\">injector<\/span> assembly. Position the open end of the clip facing the <span class=\"search_highlight\">injector<\/span> electrical connector.<\/li>\n<li>Install the <span class=\"search_highlight\">injector<\/span> into the fuel rail <span class=\"search_highlight\">injector<\/span> socket with the electrical connectors facing outward. Push the <span class=\"search_highlight\">injector<\/span> in firmly until it engages with the retainer clip locking it in place.<\/li>\n<li>Install the fuel rail and <span class=\"search_highlight\">injector<\/span> assembly. Install the decorative cover.<\/li>\n<li>Connect the negative battery cable, energize the fuel pump, and check for fuel leaks. To accomplish this safely, apply battery voltage to the fuel pump prime connector located at the right front corner of the engine compartment, between the battery and the horn.
