Check for <a href=\"\/\/www.freeautomechanic.com\/battery.html\">battery<\/a> positive and negative at the blower motor electrical plug(2).<\/p>\n<h2>Cadillac Blower Motor and Fan Replacement<\/h2>\n<h3>Removal Procedure<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li type=\"1\">Remove the right side sound insulator.<\/li>\n<li type=\"1\">Pull back the carpet near the <span class=\"search_highlight\">blower<\/span> <span class=\"search_highlight\">motor<\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Remove the IP compartment.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li type=\"1\">Remove the dash integration module from the bracket.<\/li>\n<li type=\"1\">Remove the two rear dash integration module bracket fasteners.<\/li>\n<li type=\"1\">Re-position the dash integration module bracket in order to remove the <span class=\"search_highlight\">blower<\/span> <span class=\"search_highlight\">motor<\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Disconnect the electrical connector\u00a0(2) from the Cadillac <span class=\"search_highlight\">blower<\/span> <span class=\"search_highlight\">motor<\/span>.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li type=\"1\">Remove the <span class=\"search_highlight\">blower<\/span> <span class=\"search_highlight\">motor<\/span> retaining fasteners\u00a0(1).<\/li>\n<li type=\"1\">Rotate and remove the <span class=\"search_highlight\">blower<\/span> <span class=\"search_highlight\">motor<\/span> from the vehicle.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Installation Procedure<\/h3>\n<div id=\"section_comment_2\" class=\"section_comments\">\u00a0Rotate the <span class=\"search_highlight\">blower<\/span> <span class=\"search_highlight\">motor<\/span> in order to install the <span class=\"search_highlight\">blower<\/span> <span class=\"search_highlight\">motor<\/span> into the housing.<\/div>\n<p>Install the <span class=\"search_highlight\">blower<\/span> <span class=\"search_highlight\">motor<\/span> into the Cadillac <span class=\"search_highlight\">blower<\/span> <span class=\"search_highlight\">motor<\/span> housing.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li type=\"1\">Ensure that the <span class=\"search_highlight\">blower<\/span> <span class=\"search_highlight\">motor<\/span> gasket is properly aligned.<\/li>\n<li type=\"1\">Install the <span class=\"search_highlight\">blower<\/span> <span class=\"search_highlight\">motor<\/span> retaining fasteners\u00a0(1).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span class=\"admonition_caution\"><strong>Caution!<\/strong><b>\u00a0<\/b>Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Tighten<\/b><br \/>\nTighten the <span class=\"search_highlight\">blower<\/span> <span class=\"search_highlight\">motor<\/span> fasteners to 1.4\u00a0N\u00b7m (12\u00a0lb\u00a0in).<\/p>\n<ol>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li type=\"1\">Connect the electrical connector\u00a0(2) to the <span class=\"search_highlight\">blower<\/span> <span class=\"search_highlight\">motor<\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Re-position the dash integration module bracket to its original position.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li type=\"1\">Install the 2 rear dash integration module bracket fasteners.<\/li>\n<li type=\"1\">Install the dash integration module.<\/li>\n<li type=\"1\">Install the IP compartment.<\/li>\n<li type=\"1\">Re-position the carpet.<\/li>\n<li type=\"1\">Install the right side sound insulator.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>No a\/c or heat &#8211; Cadillac Blower Motor RESPONSE The most common reason would be the Cadillac blower motor has failed or power is unable to reach the blower motor from a failed blower motor resistor.
