RESPONSE<\/p>\n

The most common reason would be the Cadillac blower motor has failed or power is unable to reach the blower motor from a failed blower motor resistor. Check for battery<\/a> positive and negative at the blower motor electrical plug(2).<\/p>\n

Cadillac Blower Motor and Fan Replacement<\/h2>\n

Removal Procedure<\/h3>\n
    \n<\/ol>\n
      \n
    1. Remove the right side sound insulator.<\/li>\n
    2. Pull back the carpet near the blower<\/span> motor<\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Remove the IP compartment.<\/p>\n

        \n<\/ol>\n
          \n
        1. Remove the dash integration module from the bracket.<\/li>\n
        2. Remove the two rear dash integration module bracket fasteners.<\/li>\n
        3. Re-position the dash integration module bracket in order to remove the blower<\/span> motor<\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Disconnect the electrical connector\u00a0(2) from the Cadillac blower<\/span> motor<\/span>.<\/p>\n

            \n
          1. Remove the blower<\/span> motor<\/span> retaining fasteners\u00a0(1).<\/li>\n
          2. Rotate and remove the blower<\/span> motor<\/span> from the vehicle.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Installation Procedure<\/h3>\n
            \u00a0Rotate the blower<\/span> motor<\/span> in order to install the blower<\/span> motor<\/span> into the housing.<\/div>\n

            Install the blower<\/span> motor<\/span> into the Cadillac blower<\/span> motor<\/span> housing.<\/p>\n

              \n<\/ol>\n
                \n
              1. Ensure that the blower<\/span> motor<\/span> gasket is properly aligned.<\/li>\n
              2. Install the blower<\/span> motor<\/span> retaining fasteners\u00a0(1).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                Caution!<\/strong>\u00a0<\/b>Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.<\/span><\/p>\n

                Tighten<\/b>
                \nTighten the blower<\/span> motor<\/span> fasteners to 1.4\u00a0N\u00b7m (12\u00a0lb\u00a0in).<\/p>\n

                  1. Connect the electrical connector\u00a0(2) to the blower<\/span> motor<\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                    Re-position the dash integration module bracket to its original position.<\/p>\n
