I have changed two coil packs and spark plugs along with the <a href=\"\/\/www.freeautomechanic.com\/ckp-crank-position-sensor.html\">crankshaft position sensor<\/a>. What else could cause this issue?<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>RESPONSE<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>PCM Fuse<\/li>\n<li>PCM<\/li>\n<li>Ignition Transformer Capacitor<\/li>\n<li>Wiring Harness<\/li>\n<li>Camshaft Position Sensor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Engine Ignition &#8211; No Fire<\/h2>\n<p>The electronic ignition (EI) system is a coil-on-plug ignition system. The coil-on-plug ignition system consists of the following components:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Coil-on-plugs<\/li>\n<li>Spark plugs<\/li>\n<li>Crankshaft position (CKP) sensor<\/li>\n<li>Camshaft position (CMP) sensor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The coil-on-plugs:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>change low voltage signals from the powertrain control module (PCM) to high voltage pulses.<\/li>\n<li>supply the high voltage pulses to the spark plugs.<\/li>\n<li>are connected directly to each spark plug.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The spark plugs:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>change high voltage pulses into a spark which ignites the fuel and air mixture.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The CKP sensor:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>is a variable reluctance sensor.<\/li>\n<li>is triggered by a 36-minus-1 tooth trigger wheel mounted on the crankshaft.<\/li>\n<li>provides base timing and crankshaft speed (rpm) to the PCM.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The CMP sensor:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>is a variable reluctance sensor.<\/li>\n<li>provides camshaft rotational location information to the PCM.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Ignition Coil wiring diagram 2005 Ford Escape<\/h3>\n\n\t\t<div id=\"wppdfemb-frame-container-0\" style=\"-webkit-overflow-scrolling:auto;\">\n\t\t\t<iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.freeautomechanic.com\/mechanic\/forum\/?index=1&#038;pdfID=0&#038;pdfemb-serveurl=%2F%2Fwww.freeautomechanic.com%2Fmechanic%2Fforum%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2Fsecurepdfs%2F2016%2F08%2F2005-ford-escape-engine-controls-5-of-5.pdf\"\n\t\t\t\tid=\"wppdf-emb-iframe-0\"\n\t\t\t\tdata-pdf-index=\"1\"\n\t\t\t\tclass=\"pdfembed-iframe nonfullscreen\"\n\t\t\t\tstyle=\"border:none;width:100%;max-width:500px;min-height:500px\"\n\t\t\t\tscrolling=\"yes\">\n\t\t\t<\/iframe>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Getting no fire to the spark plugs.
