How bad is this? And can this be fixed.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>RESPONSE<\/p>\n<p>Not that bad. Much better than if it was under filled. Yes, it can be fixed. Drain the oil and refill to the correct level. Engine oil is to checked on a flat surface with the engine off.<\/p>\n<h3>CHECKING ENGINE <span class=\"search_highlight\">OIL<\/span> LEVEL<\/h3>\n<p>The best time to <a href=\"\/\/www.freeautomechanic.com\/how-to-check-fluid-%20levels.html\">check engine <span class=\"search_highlight\">oil<\/span> level<\/a> is after it has sat overnight, or if the engine has been running, allow the engine to be shut off for at least 5 minutes before checking <span class=\"search_highlight\">oil<\/span> level.<\/p>\n<p>Checking the <span class=\"search_highlight\">oil<\/span> while the vehicle is on level ground will improve the accuracy of the <span class=\"search_highlight\">oil<\/span> level reading. Add only when the level is at or below the ADD mark.<\/p>\n<h3>ENGINE LUBRICATION SYSTEM<\/h3>\n<p>The lubrication system is a full flow filtration pressure feed type. <span class=\"search_highlight\">Oil<\/span>, stored in the <span class=\"search_highlight\">oil<\/span> pan, is taken in and discharged by a gerotor type <span class=\"search_highlight\">oil<\/span> pump directly coupled to the crankshaft and its pressure is regulated by a relief valve. The <span class=\"search_highlight\">oil<\/span> is fed through an <span class=\"search_highlight\">oil<\/span> filter and to the crankshaft journals from the <span class=\"search_highlight\">oil<\/span> gallery in the cylinder block. This gallery also feeds <span class=\"search_highlight\">oil<\/span> under pressure to the cylinder heads. It then flows to each cylinder head through passages to camshaft journals, the rocker shafts to the rocker arms, hydraulic lash adjusters<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Engine oil overfilled and driven, having problems now.
