How can I drive it without the loud noise or hurt it?<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>RESPONSE<\/p>\n<p>Remove the Air Conditioning belt.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-36541\" src=\"\/\/www.freeautomechanic.com\/mechanic\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/air-conditioning-belt-diagram-2008-gmc-seirra.gif\" alt=\"air conditioning belt diagram 2008 GMC Seirra\" width=\"320\" height=\"296\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li type=\"1\">Remove the accessory drive <span class=\"search_highlight\">belt<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li type=\"1\">Install a ratchet into the air conditioning (A\/C) <span class=\"search_highlight\">belt<\/span> tensioner adapter opening.<\/li>\n<li type=\"1\">Rotate the A\/C <span class=\"search_highlight\">belt<\/span> tensioner clockwise in order to relieve tension on the A\/C <span class=\"search_highlight\">belt<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li type=\"1\">Remove the A\/C <span class=\"search_highlight\">belt<\/span> from the pulleys.<\/li>\n<li type=\"1\">Slowly release the tension on the A\/C <span class=\"search_highlight\">belt<\/span> tensioner.<\/li>\n<li type=\"1\">Remove the ratchet from the A\/C <span class=\"search_highlight\">belt<\/span> tensioner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The air conditioning compressor froze up and can&#8217;t afford to fix it right now.
