If it stays on, it indicated the system is deactivated.<\/p>\n<p>The only way to know would be to pull the check engine light codes. This requires a <a href=\"\/\/www.freeautomechanic.com\/scantools.html\">scan tool<\/a>. However just about any local auto parts dealer will perform this task free of charge.
