An air intake hose attaches from the air filter to the throttle body.<\/p>\n<h3>TPS Sensor Location &#8211; Throttle Position Sensor Location<\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-37140\" src=\"\/\/www.freeautomechanic.com\/mechanic\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/tps-sensor-location-2000-pontiac-sunfire-300x278.gif\" alt=\"TPS Sensor location - throttle position sensor\" width=\"300\" height=\"278\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Throttle Position Sensor Replacement<\/h3>\n<h4>Removal Procedure<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>The air cleaner outlet resonator needs to be removed.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the TP sensor attaching screws (1).<\/li>\n<li>Remove the TP sensor (2) and seal (3).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Installation Procedure<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>With the throttle valve in the normal closed (idle) position, install the throttle position sensor (2) and seal (3) on the throttle body assembly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Important<\/strong> <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Install the new TP sensor attaching screws when replacing TP sensor.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Install two TP sensor screws (1).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tighten<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tighten the screws to 3 N\u00b7m (27 lb in).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u2022Install the air cleaner outlet resonator.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Where is my throttle position sensor, TPS sensor location?
