An actual visual inspection will be necessary for this one. Follow the speed sensor wire to its location at the wheel.<\/p>\n<p>According to <strong>Amazon<\/strong> the correct hub bearing does not have the speed sensor &amp; internal ring.<br \/>\n<iframe style=\"width: 120px; height: 240px;\" src=\"\/\/ws-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/widgets\/q?ServiceVersion=20070822&amp;OneJS=1&amp;Operation=GetAdHtml&amp;MarketPlace=US&amp;source=ss&amp;ref=as_ss_li_til&amp;ad_type=product_link&amp;tracking_id=freea08-20&amp;language=en_US&amp;marketplace=amazon&amp;region=US&amp;placement=B07481X6LN&amp;asins=B07481X6LN&amp;linkId=46a3ddabcc2a954042aeb1a804b0aae4&amp;show_border=true&amp;link_opens_in_new_window=true\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><br \/>\nHowever the<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freeautomechanic.com\/manual-locator.php\">Mitchell Manual<\/a><\/strong> diagram indicates shows the speed sensor and ring internal with only and external plug.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-56724\" src=\"https:\/\/www.freeautomechanic.com\/mechanic\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/2007-lexus-is250-front-speed-sensor.jpg\" alt=\"2007-lexus-is250-front-speed-sensor\" width=\"872\" height=\"589\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.freeautomechanic.com\/mechanic\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/2007-lexus-is250-front-speed-sensor.jpg 872w, https:\/\/www.freeautomechanic.com\/mechanic\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/2007-lexus-is250-front-speed-sensor-300x203.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.freeautomechanic.com\/mechanic\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/2007-lexus-is250-front-speed-sensor-768x519.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 872px) 100vw, 872px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Motor Manual<\/strong> shows the vehicle calls for part#89542-30270 which would require an external speed sensor ring. Usually found on the cv-shaft, rotor or back of hub bearing.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-56725\" src=\"https:\/\/www.freeautomechanic.com\/mechanic\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/speed-sensor.jpg\" alt=\"speed-sensor\" width=\"217\" height=\"183\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Chilton Manual<\/strong> had no useful information in regards to this question.<\/p>\n<p>Looked up the parts for the AWD at Lexus Site:\u00a0<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mylparts.com\">MYLparts.com <\/a> <\/strong>and it appears the external ABS Speed sensor ring would be external.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-56726\" src=\"https:\/\/www.freeautomechanic.com\/mechanic\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/lexus-speed-sensor-2007-lexus-is250.jpg\" alt=\"lexus-speed-sensor-2007-lexus-is250\" width=\"686\" height=\"490\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.freeautomechanic.com\/mechanic\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/lexus-speed-sensor-2007-lexus-is250.jpg 686w, https:\/\/www.freeautomechanic.com\/mechanic\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/lexus-speed-sensor-2007-lexus-is250-300x214.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 686px) 100vw, 686px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Where is the tone ring or reluctor ring located for the left front speed sensor is it in the wheel bearing or on the half shaft?
