Simple put, you need the brake pads replaced at a minimum. I recommend replacing the rotors at the same time you have the brake pads replaced.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.freeautomechanic.com\/brakes.html\"><strong>Brakes<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Brake Pads, Replace<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Front<\/strong><\/p>\n<h5>Removal<\/h5>\n<p>Do not disconnect brake hose from caliper body assembly.<\/p>\n<p>1. Raise and support vehicle and then remove front wheels.<\/p>\n<p>2. Remove caliper bolt on lower side.<\/p>\n<p>3. Raise caliper body assembly and support it, see image.<\/p>\n<p>4. Inspect brake pad.<\/p>\n<p>2. Apply a thin coat of grease to pad retainer, see image.<\/p>\n<p>3. Install brake pad to bracket.<\/p>\n<p>5. Install caliper body assembly to support. Torque caliper bolt to 20 ft. lbs.<\/p>\n<p>6. Install front wheel and tire assemblies. Torque wheel nuts; except for C4 model to 89 ft. lbs. and C4 model to 74 ft. lbs.<\/p>\n<h5>Inspection<\/h5>\n<p>Wear indicators are installed on inner and outer disc brake pads.<\/p>\n<p>If pad is worn to limit, end of wear indicator contacts disc rotor and a squeaking sound is heard as wheel rotates. If sound is heard, replace pad.<\/p>\n<p>Always replace pads of both wheels and both sides as a set.<\/p>\n<p>Replace pad retainers if they are twisted or worn.<\/p>\n<p>Replace pad if there is oil or grease on it.<\/p>\n<p>1. Inspect pad thickness. Standard .43 inch, Wear limit .059 inch.<\/p>\n<p>2.
