How to replace rear wheel hub bearing on Pontiac Aztek with disc brakes?<\/p>\n

This repair will be similar for the Aztek, Rendezvous, Venture, Montana, Alero and Grand Am<\/p>\n

Rear Wheel Hub Bearing Replacement<\/h3>\n

Rear<\/strong><\/p>\n

All Wheel Drive<\/h5>\n
    \n
  1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove tire and wheel assembly.<\/li>\n
  2. Release parking brake and remove brake caliper.<\/li>\n
  3. Remove brake caliper<\/a> bracket and brake rotor.<\/li>\n
  4. Disconnect wheel speed sensor electrical connector, then remove speed sensor connector from connector bracket.<\/li>\n
  5. Separate driveshaft from wheel hub and bearing.<\/li>\n
  6. Remove and discard wheel bearing<\/a> and hub assembly bolts.<\/li>\n
  7. Remove wheel hub and bearing assembly.<\/li>\n
  8. Reverse procedure to install. Replace wheel hub and bearing assembly attaching bolts anytime bolts are loosened or removed. Failure to replace bolts may cause loss of vehicle control.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
