\"Chevy<\/p>\n

My driver’s side front door window will not roll up all the way. It leaves a gap of about 1\/4″ at the top so when driving on the interstate it makes a loud whistling sound. If someone holds the window between their hands while I push the up button sometimes we can get it roll up that last bit. Thanks in advance for your help.<\/p>\n

My first thought would be the window motor regulator assembly is faulty. The motor is working but the window is not. And the window regulator is a common failure part. I have taken the time to look up the part for the right front window(driver’s side).<\/p>\n

Front Window Regulator Replacement<\/h3>\n

  1. Remove front door outside handle.<\/li>\n
  2. Next, remove front door window run channel assembly.<\/li>\n
  3. Remove front door lower speaker.<\/li>\n
  4. Disconnect mirror electrical connector.<\/li>\n
  5. Disconnect four electrical connector rosebuds (two at mirror and two under speaker).<\/li>\n
  6. Loosen two rear module bolts, Fig. 1.<\/li>\n
  7. Remove four remaining module bolts, Fig. 1.<\/li>\n
  8. Remove three latch bolts from door shut face.<\/li>\n
  9. Disconnect door harness at door jamb.<\/li>\n
  10. Remove window regulator module from door, Fig. 1.<\/li>\n
  11. Reverse procedure to install, noting following:
    \na.Install three latch bolts to door shut face. Torque bolts to 89\u2009inch lbs.
    \nb.Install four module bolts. Torque bolts to 71\u2009inch lbs.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
