What can be the issue?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>You will want to perform a quick test if you haven&#8217;t done so already. With the engine off, see if you can change gears. If you can the transmission internal components are good. Now place the vehicle in gear and start the vehicle. Is the vehicle trying to pull with the clutch pedal on the floor? If yes, there is air in the hydraulic clutch system. Does the the engine rev and car doesn&#8217;t want to move? That is a sign of a worn clutch and or pressure plate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/EXEDY-CLUTCH-MASTER-CYLINDER-TYPE-S\/dp\/B06XKRM59Q\/ref=as_li_ss_il?dchild=1&#038;keywords=clutch+master+cylinder+with+slave+cylinder+2005+acura+rsx&#038;qid=1593456660&#038;replacementKeywords=clutch+master+cylinder+with+slave+cylinder&#038;sr=8-1&#038;vehicle=2005-58-747------------&#038;vehicleName=2005+Acura+RSX&#038;linkCode=li3&#038;tag=freea08-20&#038;linkId=57ebae0a408d45e3bb0e9dd81ec157d2&#038;language=en_US\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><\/a>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are installing an aftermarket clutch setup, refer to the manufacturers installation instructions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In most of these cases the problem is not being able to bleed the air from the clutch master\/slave cylinders. I have found that buying a sealed replacement from the dealership is the fastest and cheapest way to fix the problem. I have not been successful at bleeding air once installed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Labor Time Clutch Replacement <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"735\" height=\"261\" src=\"https:\/\/www.freeautomechanic.com\/mechanic\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/2005-acura-rsx-clutch-labor-time.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-60567\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.freeautomechanic.com\/mechanic\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/2005-acura-rsx-clutch-labor-time.jpg 735w, https:\/\/www.freeautomechanic.com\/mechanic\/forum\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/2005-acura-rsx-clutch-labor-time-300x107.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 735px) 100vw, 735px\" \/><figcaption>Clutch Replacement Labor Time<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Clutch Master Cylinder, Overhaul<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><br \/>Dismantle and inspect inside cylinder before purchasing rebuild kit. If pitting or scoring exist replace clutch master cylinder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Drain clutch hydraulic system.<\/li><li>Remove clutch master cylinder from vehicle.<\/li><li>Remove hydraulic fluid reservoir from master cylinder if equipped.<\/li><li>Pull back rubber boot. There is no need to unscrew clevis from push rod. This saves you from having to adjust linkage.<\/li><li>Remove snap ring holding push rod\/washer in place using a suitable set of snap ring pliers.<\/li><li>Pull out piston\/spring assembly. You may have to use compressed air to assist in removal.<\/li><li>Clean inside and outside of cylinder with denatured alcohol or fresh brake fluid.
