I&#8217;m considering buying a used 2010 Toyota Matrix.  It has 45,000 miles on it.  But it has an accident on record.  The accident happened in 2011, and the only thing the carfax says about it is &#8220;accident reported.  Estimated damages less than $1500.&#8221;  The dealer does not have the service\/repair records of the vehicle.  Here is my question.  Do you think it&#8217;s safe to get this car, as long as I take it to a reliable mechanic and they do a good inspection on the car?  Or, is it possible that given the unknown service records and minor accident that there could be a problem that a mechanic would not be able to detect?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.freeautomechanic.com\/guide-to-buying-used-cars.html\">Used Car Buying Guide<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do I think it is safe to get.
