How do I go about the procedure?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>On a 2000 Hyundai Accent the fuel pressure regulator is located in the fuel pump. So the fuel pump will need to be replaced. I have added the DIY fuel pump replacement procedure below along with corresponding diagrams. The Labor time for replacing the fuel pump is at 0.8 of an hour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> I also went ahead and looked up the Fuel Pump Kit that fits your 2000 Hyundai Accent. <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2YkyDFK\" rel=\"nofollow\"><strong>Purchase Fuel Pump Kit Now for $22.99<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/CUSTONEPARTS-Electric-Install-Multiple-Models\/dp\/B073PVRHVT\/ref=as_li_ss_il?dchild=1&#038;keywords=fuel+pump+2000+hyundai+accent&#038;qid=1598024477&#038;replacementKeywords=fuel+pump&#038;sr=8-4&#038;vehicle=2000-3-24------------&#038;vehicleName=2000+Hyundai+Accent&#038;linkCode=li3&#038;tag=freea08-20&#038;linkId=408eb1abd3c01aa357d0ff0f42d7f05d&#038;language=en_US\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><\/a>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">FUEL PUMP REPLACEMENT<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ACCENT &amp; SONATA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following procedure has been revised by a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freeautomechanic.com\/technical-service-bulletins-and-recalls.html\">Technical Service Bulletin<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Relieve fuel pressure. (see below)<\/li><li>Remove fuel tank cap, then tank drain plug and drain fuel.<\/li><li>Disconnect return hose and vapor line.<\/li><li>Disconnect fuel gauge unit connector, then the high pressure hose from fuel tank, Figs. 1 and 2.<\/li><li>Remove fuel filler and leveling hoses from tank, then the tank band retaining nuts, straps, vapor hose and fuel tank.<\/li><li>Disconnect any remaining fuel pump electrical connectors.<\/li><li>Remove fuel pump retaining nuts, then the fuel pump.<\/li><li>Remove fuel pump filter.<\/li><li>Disconnect electrical connector No. 1, Fig. 2.<\/li><li>Disconnect electrical connector No. 2 from fuel pump by heating soldered connection, Fig. 3. Do not use a flame type soldering iron.<\/li><li>Remove pump from bracket.<\/li><li>Then Remove clamp and disconnect fuel hose.<\/li><li>Remove rubber insulator from fuel pump.<\/li><li>Reverse procedure to install.
