Is it faulty, installed improperly? Or is it common on these older vortec 5700&#8217;s?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Sounds like the bearings are going out. Being as old as it is I am sure it has been changed a few times already. And usually the replacement parts do not last as long. So, It probably needs to be replaced again. A good time to put a new belt on it too if it needs one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-serpentine-drive-belt-replace\">SERPENTINE DRIVE BELT, REPLACE<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Rotate tensioner counterclockwise, using a 1\/2 inch breaker bar with a socket placed on tensioner pulley axis bolt.<\/li><li>Remove belt from pulleys.<\/li><li>Clean pulleys and inspect for any bent or damaged pulleys.<\/li><li>Reverse procedure to install.<\/li><\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tensioner pulley is ticking\\clicking.
