All u-joints (front steering and both driveshafts) are solid. Vibration is too fast to be a wheel or tire. What else should I check? Check it out below.

In general you will want to determine if you notice the vibration in the steering wheel or in the seat of your pants. Once you have determined the location you will want to rotate the wheels/tires and test drive it. What you are looking for is to see if the vibration moves location. If that happens it could be as simple as balance due to a lost wheel weight. or it could be a broken belt in the tire itself. Lets suppose the vibration did not move location. That will rule out the wheels and tires as being the cause.

Next you will want to jack up the front end one side at a time by the lower control arms. You will want to move the tire by wiggling it top to bottom and them side to side. You are looking for play or movement. There shouldn’t be any. If you notice some you will want to look closely at each component while you move the tire or even easier if you have someone else wiggle the tire while you are looking.

Front End Vibration - Step by step what to check #chevysilverado #gmcsierra

Watch this video on YouTube<meta itemprop="description" content="I will guide you through the steps of what to check when you have a front end vibration.
