Any <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freeautomechanic.com\/diagnostictroblecodes.html\">Trouble Codes<\/a> present? These would aid in diagnosing any current issue you are having.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Smoke coming out of the tailpipe is not a good sign. The color of the smoke or smell would also offer some assistance in diagnosing the issue. For example, a sweet smell accompanied by white smoke would indicate coolant being burned and possibly a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.freeautomechanic.com\/blown-head-gasket.html\">blown head gasket<\/a><\/strong>. This is often caused by overheating of the engine. A rotten egg smell with dark smoke would indicate a rich fuel burn condition which is often time caused from a vacuum leak.
