And most likely you will need to also replace the serpentine belt<a href=\"https:\/\/freeautomechanic.com\/serpentine-belt-routing-diagrams.html\"> that rides on that belt. As for the alternator, it would no longer spin because the belt is broken due to the <\/a>tensioner locking up.
