Handle bulb only by its base. Avoid touching glass envelope.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Caution: Do not attempt to replace bulb immediately after turning off lights. However, if vehicle is damaged in an accident, headlamp aim may be affected and adjustment may be required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Vehicle should be placed so headlamps are 25 feet from a light colored wall or other flat surface.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vehicle must have all four tires on a perfectly level surface which is level to wall or other flat surface.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vehicle should be placed so it is perpendicular to wall or other flat surface.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vehicle should not have any snow, ice or mud on it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vehicle should be fully assembled and all other work stopped while headlamp aiming is being done.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vehicle should be normally loaded with a full tank of fuel and one person or 160 lbs. on drivers seat.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tires should be properly inflated.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Aiming<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Caution: Do not cover a headlamp to improve beam cutoff when aiming. Covering a headlamp may cause excessive heat build up which may cause damage to headlamp.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Headlamp aiming is done with vehicles low beam headlamps. high beam headlamps will be correctly aimed if low beam headlamps are aimed properly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Find aim dot on lens of low beam lamp.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Measure distance from ground to aim dot on lamp (1),<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.motor.com\/m1\/api\/source\/MOTOR\/graphic\/12392707\"\/><strong>Fig. GEN5130000007705.<\/strong>Record distance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At wall or other flat surface, measure from ground upward, recorded distance from step 2, and draw or tape a horizontal line (2),<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.motor.com\/m1\/api\/source\/MOTOR\/graphic\/12392707\"\/><strong>Fig. GEN5130000007705.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Turn on low beam headlamps and place a portion of cardboard, or equivalent, in front of headlamp not being aimed.
