Disconnect and isolate the battery (ground) cable, then wait two minutes for the air bag system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the air bag system. failure to take the proper precautions could result in accidental air bag deployment and possible personal injury.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A recirculation air door and vacuum actuator are used only on models with optional air conditioning system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Disconnect and isolate battery ground cable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remove kick cover from heater-A\/C housing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Disconnect vacuum harness connector from recirculation air door actuator.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Insert a trim stick or another suitable wide flat-bladed tool into latch hole on heater-A\/C housing actuator mount.
