Power locks, windows, mirrors, etc. for both front doors don’t work on my 2003 GMC Envoy XL SLT 4.2L. What do you think it could be?
Took a look at the wiring diagrams for this vehicle. The idea is to see if there is a common connection between all three. Had a bit of a time with this one at first. Seems the diagrams found in the free resources were wrong(see below). They showed the door locks using Fuse 21. After double checking with the Premium Mitchell Manual, I was quickly able to determine the correlation between the three problem areas. Turns out they all share Fuse 10.
Fuse Keeps Blowing
You may try and simple replace or test the fuse. If the fuse continues to blow you will need to deeper into the circuit to find the short. The most common location is the wiring harness at the door jam, drivers side. This is from age and lots of opening and closing the door.
- Power Mirrors use Fuse 10 & 12 (10Amp)
- Power Door Locks use Fuse 10 &12 (10 Amp)
- Power Windows use Fuse 10 (10 Amp)
