I have a 1999 ford f150 extended cab with 60 /40 bench seat. I want to switch the bench out to bucket seats. How difficult is it to do this. Do I have to change out the mounting brackets and do anything else
Seats with brackets and possibly the seat belts. I’ve added the seat removal instructions for reference.
SEAT, REPLACE
FRONT
- Remove buckle bolts (1), Fig. 1.
- Feed buckle assembly up through top of seat cushion and remove front seat safety belt buckles, Fig. 1.
- Feed lefthand driver buckle and center passenger tongue assembly up through top of seat cushion and remove front seat safety belt buckle/tongue assembly.
- Remove front seat bolts (1), Fig. 2.
- Remove front seat nuts (2), Fig. 2.
- Disconnect electrical connectors if equipped and remove front seat, Fig. 2.
- Reverse procedure to install. Note following:
a. Torque seat belt mounting bolts to 35 ft. lbs.
b. Torque seat mounting bolts to 35 ft. lbs.
