How to scan SRS Codes without a Scan Tool

I bought a 2012 Toyota Camry ELE repaired after a collision. The SRS light stays on. I have safely unplugged and checked the SRS connection under the passenger seat. I sent the SRS ECU to be reset and then re-installed it. The SRS light is still on. There are no OBD2 codes. What to do next?

If you have a scan tool you may connect it and pull the codes or do it without a scan tool. I have provided the procedures below for both scanning and clearing the present codes. I have also provided a list of corresponding diagnostic trouble codes.  Then check wiring and sensors that correspond to the present code or fault. These codes would begin with a B.

Scan Codes without a Scan Tool

1. Turn ignition switch to Acc or On position.
2. Wait approximately 20 seconds.
3. Connect DLC terminal Tc and E1 or Tc and CG with special diagnosis check wire tool No. 09843-18020 or equivalent jumper wire.
4. Read two-digit DTC from SRS warning lamp as blinks as follows:
   a. If lamp flashes two times per second, there are no DTCs stored.
   b. If a fault code is indicated, first digit will flash, then after 1.5 seconds elapse, second digit will flash.
   c. If more than one code is stored, 2.5 seconds will elapse, then second code will appear.
   d. DTC flashes will be displayed from smallest numerically to largest.
   e. After all stored DTCs have been read, 4.0 seconds will elapse and DTCs will be repeated.

Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes without a Scan Tool

1. Connect two special diagnosis check wire tools No. 09843-18020 or equivalent jumper wires, to DLC terminals Tc and AB or Tc and CG.
2. Turn ignition switch to Acc or On position and wait approximately six seconds.
3. Alternately ground each jumper wire twice in one second cycles as follows:
   a. Ground Tc jumper for .5-1.5 second.
   b. Release Tc ground and immediately ground AB jumper within .2 second.
   c. Ground AB jumper for .5-1.5 second.
   d. Release AB ground and immediately ground Tc jumper within .2 second.
   e. Ground Tc jumper for .5-1.5 second.
   f. Release Tc ground and immediately ground AB jumper within .2 second.
   g. Ground AB jumper for .5-1.5 second.
   h. Release AB ground and immediately ground Tc jumper within .2 second.
4.  Ground Tc jumper.
5. SRS warning lamp will blink in a 50 milli-second cycle several seconds after clearing procedure is completed to indicate DTCs have been cleared.
