Transmission fluid

How often should I have my transmission fluid changed? I have been told if I wait to long I shouldn’t even have it done, is this true? It has 68,000 miles on it and we have never changed the fluid.

    It is a good Idea to change your transmission fluid every 30,000 miles. I would definitely have it done now. On most vehicles that have 120,000 miles on them and never had the fluid changed, I would agree as to not change the fluid.
