I tried testing the 4 wheel drive system in my jeep wrangler, I can feel it kick into 4 low but in 4 high it’s so smooth I don’t know if it is engaged. How can I tell if it”s engaged and working properly?

I tried testing the 4 wheel drive system in my jeep wrangler, I can feel it kick into 4 low but in 4 high it’s so smooth I don’t know if it is engaged. How can I tell if it”s engaged and working properly?
Place the jeep on 4 jack stands supporting the frame. At least one wheel in the front and the back should spin in 4WD.
