I was barely moving in stop/go traffic for over 1/2 hour due to unexpected snow storm, while in 4×4, with lights, and radio on, my radio shut off and then I noticed my windshield wipers were very slow. I shut off all lights, and wipers and after a few seconds my radio came back on. I drove the rest of the way home with all unnecessary electrical off. The battery is only about 1.5 years old. Thanks for your help. I’m a single mom with no mechanical skills but willing to try!
2001 Ford Escape 6cyl electrical problem?
This sounds like a good description of a failing alternator or poor connections at the battery. Most likely the alternator is not charging properly and will need to be replaced. Have the Alternator tested first.
