2002 honda accord ex

the radiator is slowly showing an oil and water mix. The car ran hot 2 weeks ago because the radiator cap wasn’t tight. what do I do now?

  1. If this is an automatic you might have a radiator busted internally and allowing the oil to mix with the coolant. No harm will come to the transmission as the pressure is to great to allow coolant into the transmission itself.

    With that in mind, check your fluid levels to see which one is low. The transmission fluid or the engine oil. If it is the transmission oil level that is low, replace the radiator. If it is the oil that is low, I would recommend having the coolant system pressure tested to see if it is an internal leak. If it is running bad, also have a compression test performed to see if the head gasket is blown.
