2001 Ford Crown Vic

After I start my car, when I put my foot on the brake to put it into gear, the car dies. Sometimes it will start back up sometimes it won’t.

    Most likely cause for this would be a vacuum leak. You may find that if you mash on the gas pedal when trying to restart the engine that it will start easier.

    First place to look for a vacuum leak is the hose at the PCV valve. (most common)

    Of course if you have a check engine light on, by all means pull the codes and post them back in the comments below.
