The fuel gauge reads at half full when gas is added for a day or two and then doesn’t read at all or reads backwards. Why is it doing this and what is the easiest way to solve this issue?
You will need to replace the fuel level sending unit. This is mounted on the side of the fuel pump assembly located in the fuel tank. Generally the fuel pump and sending unit come together as one unit and should be replaced as such.
Until you have the means to have it replaced, you can use your Odometer. Know that after a fill up, you can drive 200 miles and then fill up again.
