I recently purchased a 1981 ve rabbit convertible that has been in storage for 3 years. the motor and trans are strong but vehivcle slow to accelerate, has some dry vacuum lines, what’s up?

  1. Could be just about anything. If you have noticed dry rotted vacuum lines, that could be a good place to start. Replace them all. Tune the engine and flush the fuel system and replace the fuel with fresh fuel. Gas starts to go bad after 6 months of setting. Check to make sure wheels spin freely and that the brakes are not locked up.
