Ford fusion 1.6 petrol

My car has started ‘slipping’ when changing gear, revving up when accelerating, before pulling away. This also occurs when in gear and accelerating hard. This doesn’t happen all the time, mainly after I’ve been driving for a short while. The clutch fluid is low, not empty. Is it the clutch on the way out? And how much can I expect to pay to fix it?

  1. Yes the clutch is on its way out. The clutch fluid level is an easy way to gauge it since it is a sealed unit the only way for the fluid level to go down is when it is worn down. Post the year below and I will see what I can work up for you as far as a cost.
