When I bought this truck last week, it had a kill button installed on the dash. Today when I pushed the button twice nothing happened. I checked the fuses, and tried again. It started but kept grinding and trying to start, so I turned it off. Now it wont start again. What should I look for?

Not sure why it would need a kill button? If you are having trouble with the starting system use the wiring diagram below to check your system. You may need to remove this aftermarket item and put it back the way it is supposed to be. If I had to guess. the starter motor relay or the starter itself is causing an issue.
When the ignition switch is turned to the START position, the starter motor solenoid relay switch is energized connecting the battery to the starter solenoid. The starter solenoid moves the drive lever and pin (11067) to engage the starter drive with the flywheel ring gear and connects the battery to the starter motor.
