Hi, I have a misfire on #4 cylinder and I’m going to replace the ignition coil but I’m not sure which coil is for #4 cylinder. I need the cylinder order. Can anyone help me on this?
The front of the engine or closest to the alternator belt is where you begin. The cylinders are in order from 1 through 4. So Cylinder number one would be the closest to the alternator belt.
The engine operating conditions (speed, load, warm-up condition, etc.) are detected by various sensors. Consequently these sensor signals and the ignition timing data, signals to interrupt the primary current are sent to the ECM. Therefore the ignition coil is activated, and timing is controlled.
