Window rolls down but will not roll back up

Volksvagon Routan 2009

My passenger side window rolls down but will not roll back up on my Volksvagon Routan 2009

The most common reason for this would be the power window regulator assembly followed by wiring harness damage and or switch failure. What happens is the cables come apart internally on the regulator. Replacing it is the best option.

WINDOW REGULATOR, OVERHAUL

  1. Remove door trim panel.
  2. Remove window regulator.
  3. Inspect all bushings and gears, if equipped, for wear or damage. If wear or damage is present, replace with new.
  4. Reverse procedure to install. Ensure proper operation after installation.
