Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing Replacement (LGZ)

Single Use Fasteners and Components

  • Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing Seal
  • Water Outlet Seal

Removal Procedure

  1. Engine Coolant Air Bleed Pipe(1)
  2. Water Outlet Bolt(1)»Remove[2x]
  3. Water Outlet(2)»Reposition
  4. Water Outlet Seal(3)»Remove and DISCARD
  5. Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing Bolt(1)»Remove[2x]
  6. Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing(3)»Remove
  7. Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing Seal(2)»Remove and DISCARD

Installation Procedure

  1. Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing Seal(2)»Install NEW
  2. Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing(3)»Install
  3. Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing Bolt(1)»Install and tighten[2x]10 N⋅m  (89 lb in)
  4. Water Outlet Seal(3)»Install NEW
  5. Water Outlet(2)»Install
  6. Water Outlet Bolt(1)»Install and tighten[2x]
  7. Engine Coolant Air Bleed Pipe(1)»Remove
