1998 ford expedition,heat blows hot and cold

replaced climate control (dash board), climate set hot(red)while driving hot air turns cold then back hot, may blow hot for 1,2,3,4 days. then it starts blowing cold

Was it doing this before you replaced the climate control head unit?
