  1. 1) what would cause my car to stop shifting without lifting your foot off of the gas to make it shift?

This could be caused by low transmission fluid.

2)its blowing white sweet smelling smoke, a lot of smoke when you rev the motor?

This is caused by the coolant being burned by the engine.

Taking both issues into consideration, you may find that the intake or head gasket may be leaking and the transmission fluid might be leaking into the coolant through the radiator being busted since the transmission fluid is under greater pressure(luckily) the transmission fluid would leak into the coolant and no the other way around.

Start by checking the fluid levels. First the radiator coolant level and then the transmission fluid level. Then have the cooling system pressure tested and possibly a compression test.
