The van started knocking and would not gain speed. It was winding out the gears before shifting. Then a heater hose blew and I lost all antifreeze. Got the hose fixed and think that the oil pump is bad. But not sure about it not gaining speed and winding the gears out. What could the problem be.

This could be as simple as the VSS – vehicle speed sensor being bad. Also could be a clogged catalytic converter or fuel filter. Could also be a bad or dirty MAF Sensor.
If it is running rough could be as simple as a tune up..
If the check engine light is on, this would be the first place to start looking. Post back any codes in the comments..
