    Several different things can cause this.

    1) check engine light bulb blown, failed led
    turn key on without starting car and confirm the light illuminates.
    2) failing spark plug and or spark plug coil
    3) vacuum leak
    4) bad gas

    Best thing to do would be to continue to drive it until the light does come on and then proceed accordingly.
