Rebuilding 350 and had crank turned. Left in my shop and gathered surface rust on crank. Hand sanded crank clean and shinny. Do I need to have crank re- turned ? Thanks !

You said that you sanded the crank by hand… If you used emery cloth with a little bit of oil, then you should be OK to use the crack after you wash and clean it to remove anything left behind from sanding.
If you used a heavier grit dry sand paper to remove the rust, i would recommend plastic gauge to check for exceptable tolerances.
Thank you ! I used silicon carbide ( wet dry ) 220 and 320 grit. I did it dry.
