1999 Chrysler SebringDecember 7, 2013I have replaced the battery and alternator and the battery light remains on, what else can I do to fix this issue? Testing your Alternator Couple of things to consider, The REMAN alternator you installed is bad or wasn’t hooked back up correctly. (left a wire off- it happens) The battery is bad or has a bad cell, most likely wouldn’t start the car at all if this was the issue. I would use a multi-meter and check the charging by placing the leads on the battery with the engine running. Check at idle and when reving the engine at a steady 2,000 rpm. You would want to see above 13 volts if it is charging. Post back your findings. Comments are closed.
