2003 Jaguar S-Type

How long should you let your car, that is outside, warm up in colder weather 39-degrees or below?

  1. You do not need to let your car warm up at all if you have the right oil in the engine as described by the vehicle manufacturer. Refer to your car owners manual.

The engines computer system will compensate for the outside temperature. If you have synthetic oil that is rated for the engine and temperature, you engine will be fine. It is equipped with sensors that adjust for these changes.
