Where is the PCV valve located on the engine exactly (a picture would be very helpful) and is it the type with a rubber gasket around it?
The PCV valve contains a spring loaded plunger. The plunger meters the amount of crankcase vapors routed into the combustion chamber based on intake manifold vacuum.
screws right into the valve cover of the engine.
