Accidentally drove through some high water two days ago on a flooded underpass, got through the water just fine and drove the half mile remaining to my home with no problems. Yesterday I tried to start the vehicle and the engine cranks but wont turn over.

You probably already know you have gotten some water where it wasn’t intended to go. You will need to remove the spark plug boots and dry those areas. An Air hose works great for this. You should also check the air filter and inlet hose for moisture. Once you get it all dried off, it should be just fine.
