I was told ignition switch needs to be replaced as key doesn’t start car. The starter is OK. I don’t have a lot of money (still in college). I am looking for the best cheapest way to deal with this issue. I’m desperately in need of options. Thank You!!!
If you know for sure what needs to be replaced in order to repair your car, call around different shops for the cheapest price.
If you have a garage full of tools and the knowledge, shop around for the cheapest price on the part you need and swap it out.
Even better, if you have a friend with a box full of tools and the knowledge, buy him a pizza.
Labor Time
1 hour labor on the actual electrical portion of the ignition switch.
1.7 hours labor if its the ignition lock cylinder
