A/c works on passenger side but driver side is hot air. Mechanic charged me $100 and just added refrigerant. 2 weeks later problem reappeared. Passenger side air conditioning is okay but the drivers side has warm air.

The air conditioning cooling system is working or you would not get cold air out either side. The problem is in the dash actuator for the drivers side if it has dual air conditioning or automatic climate controls. Or there may be some kind of restriction in the dash vent hoses. If you live in the country it could very easily be a mouse nest, etc. The entire dash will need to be removed.
